You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailTheCity of Antiochis currently accepting applications for theWater Treatment Plant Trainee/Operatorposition located within the Public Works Departments Water Treatment Plant.The City of Antioch Water Treatment Plant operates 24-hours/day under the regulatory oversight of the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water. This division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 2 conventional surface water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 36 million gallons per day. The transmission system consists of 11 booster pump stations (8 with emergency standby generators) maintain the pressure in 4 major pumping zones 12 treated water storage reservoirs and 3 emergency interconnections with other agencies. A raw water transmission system includes one San Joaquin River pump station 2 canal pump station and a municipal raw water reservoir. The Water Treatment Plant ensures that the water distributed by the City is of the highest quality possible and meets or exceeds all State and Federal health standards.
