Software Development Manager, WW Stores FinTech

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our PLANet (WW Operations Financial Planning product) team within Amazons Stores Finance Tech (ASFT) organization. You will be responsible for building high-performance globally scalable Financial systems that support Amazons current and future growth in an environment where you can drive innovation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to guide a team in delivering innovative solutions that transform financial planning processes.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of software engineers fostering a culture of innovation continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Collaborate with product managers finance teams and other stakeholders to define and execute the technical roadmap aligning with the organizations goals for standardization and automation.
* Spearhead the development of GenAI and machine learning initiatives to enhance plan forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLANet with other financial systems.
* Drive adoption of PLANet across North America and European teams working closely with finance stakeholders to ensure the platform meets their needs.
* Contribute to the development of the teams technical strategy and long-term vision for PLANet.
* Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development including code quality testing and documentation.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
