The Stores area creates the technical basis for efficient store processes by using the latest technologies. Our customers will be able to see the results of your work first-hand in all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide. Our processes are increasingly moving to mobile devices to provide store associates with the most up-to-date hardware and software support. To facilitate this strategic focus we are continually expanding our current team of experts.
Your Job
What this role looks like.
- Assuming full ownership of and for the testing of our checkout solutions deployed to more than 7300 stores
- Maintaining a broad overview of the test status of our checkout solutions both internally and by our external development partners and vendors at any given time backed by corresponding KPIs and suitable dashboard visualisations
- Providing insights on testing capacity forecasts and the estimated effort; defining specific requirements for testing activities
- Setting standards and driving the agile testing approach to deliver robustly tested high-quality increments challenging our external development partners and vendors accordingly
- Defining appropriate test methods cases and data requirements to validate the full functionality (zero-bug policy) of our checkout solutions for all countries during Sprints
- Actively participating in agile ceremonies for our checkout products in order to shape the testing scope and activities early in the process fostering a continuous feedback loop with our external development partners and vendors
- Using your specialised knowledge of testing methodologies in the heart of the product team(s)
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
- Thorough attention to detail; robust problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills; ability to work on tight deadlines
- Proactive hands-on approach to tasks and challenges
- Extensive experience in software testing (e.g. ITIL) including but not limited to test creation and automation ideally supported with proficiency in software development
- Agile mindset with a track record of employing agile testing methodologies to validate developments during Sprints
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English
Desirable extras.
- Experience in retail (particularly with checkout solutions) is highly advantageous
- Experience in software development is beneficial
- Experience working with external development partners and vendors
- Certification in testing (e.g. ISTQB Certified Tester)
