Job Description
Phlebotomist Technician (Contract Role)
We are seeking a Phlebotomist Technician for a 13-weeks travel/contract assignment in Cambridge MA 02138.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day Shift(8) - 8:00 start
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $960 - $1120
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures to collect blood samples.
- Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory testing.
- Greet and register patients with accuracy and professionalism.
- Accession and process specimens in accordance with lab protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and patient interactions.
- Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and workstations.
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients providers and lab staff.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program (required).
- 3 6 months of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
- BLS Certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
