DATTCO has a full-time Lead Mechanic opening at our School Bus Fleet Maintenance location in Westport CT.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance shop
- Coordinate dispatch and maintenance with the School Bus Division
- Maintain good customer relations
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DATTCOs policies and procedures and all applicable laws
- Ability to train coach and develop staff
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
- Performs diagnostic and repair work
- Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
- Makes road calls
- Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of automotive truck or bus repair
- Reliable motivated and have a strong work ethic
- Skills to sufficiently diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles
- CT drivers license
- Hold or be eligible to possess a CDL license
- Hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications
- Possess the physical strength to safely perform all required tasks
- Must possess adequate verbal and written communication skills in English
