Job Description
Location Requirement
This position is based in Tucson AZ and we are seeking candidates who are local to the Tucson area. However we will also consider applicants currently residing in Phoenix AZ or surrounding cites who are willing to commute or relocate to Tucson. Remote work is not available for this role due to the need for in-office collaboration and occasional fieldwork.
Job Description
We are seeking a geotechnical/ geological engineering intern to join our consulting group based in Tucson AZ. This job requires the applicant to be locally based in Tucson AZ.
- Office work will include:
- Data reduction including stereographic statistical and geospatial analyses
- Technical reporting and documentation of field work and analysis work
- Laboratory testing performing and assisting with soil and rock strength testing
- Local Field Work (if applicable):
- site characterization
- geologic/geotechnical mapping
- geomechanical core logging
Qualifications :
- Actively pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in geology geological engineering geotechnical engineering or mining engineering.
- 0-5 years experience
- The position may involve local domestic travel
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
Additional Information :
Schedule: part time not to exceed 30 hours per week normal business hours.
