CNC Precision Machinist-Team Leader

Clampco Products an Employee-Owned Company) employer is seeking a newly created position asCNC Precision Machinist-Team Leader. The position programs sets-up troubleshoots and operate Swiss Turning and/or Haas equipment machining and trains others in the department. This position relies heavily on contact with Engineering design and production supporting operation demand.

Essential Functions:
- Assist and trains others on CNC Swiss turning machines 4 axes
- Interpret prints for product specification and geometry prior to set up
- Utilize programming parameters to set up and operate horizontal lathes
- Write G-Code for machine action and performance/ Fanuc controls
- Determine bar size and collet roughing and finishing
- Daily set up/operate CNC turning machinery and/or dual spindle turning center
- Performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery
- Utilize calipers micrometers and optical comparator for dimensional tolerance and specification
- Perform manual grinding mill and lathe assignments
- Cross-training with engineering for CAD/CAM and 3D modeling
- Cross training with production component weld cell
- Occasional operation of tow motor/pallet jack/lifting devices/ jib crane and die carts
- Assists others in training and development in a team environment
Minimum Requirements
- HS diploma or GED; equivalent experience will be considered
- 3 years as a precision machinist
- 3 years of conversational programming
- 2 years of high programming language highly desired
- 2years of assisting and training others on CNC equipment-Swiss turn machines and related
- Ability to interpret sketches or schematics
- Comprehension and demonstration of written/oral/verbally assigned tasks.
- Advanced math and problem-solving skills (i.e. dimensional tolerances/weights/measurements)
- Ability to anticipate problems and troubleshoot moderate to complex solutions
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Work Environment:
- Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm onsite
- Ability to walk navigate stairs ladders use PPE and follow all safety standards
- Lift up to 50# with or without accommodation physical demand is heavy
- May assist other departments when needed
