The Family Caregiver Support Center/LACRC (FCSC/LACRC) offers direct services to family caregivers in Los Angeles County provides research opportunities for USC faculty and students and offers professional training opportunities for USC students interested in working with family caregivers and individuals with dementia. FCSC/LACRC provides a comprehensive range of clinical services to family caregivers of adults with multiple medical conditions or cognitive impairments including case management educational workshops support groups and informational resources. We are seeking exceptional talent to join our current dynamic team.
We seek a Financial Administrator for the USC Family Caregiver Support Center and the Administration of Community Livingto join our team! This is a full-time position that will require substantial commitment and flexibility. This is a critical role for the center that will need experience in both operational and financial management. This position will be hands-on in terms of financial responsibilities including generating reports processing financial transactions and managing grants. Working closely with the Business Office the Financial Administrator will ensure compliance and provide training to team members.
This role will have a Hybrid-Flex schedule (On-Campus and working remotely). This position requires reliable transportation and a valid state drivers license as it is expected that the employee will travel to and from campus for meetings as necessary.
Under the direction of Donna Benton the Center Director the Financial Administrator will be hands-on and responsible for managing program operations and administrative functions including budgets policy implementation and personnel administrator will contribute to the design of policies and strategic planning efforts. Responsible for the fiscal management of grants and contracts to accomplish measurable clinical and business process improvements and objectives.
The Financial Administrator will contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and related system implementation. Will lead in the identification and diagnosis of problems manage data analytics develop performance dashboards and lead and manage structured improvement initiatives from large-scale transformational projects to focused improvement events.
This is a full-time exempt position that requires a substantial commitment and flexibility. Travel requires no more than 25% of the time spent traveling within the Southern California region. Work will be done on a hybrid schedule with at least 2 days per week spent on campus and 3 days working remotely.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following education previous experience and skills:
Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
Financial/accounting background
Management of multiple accounts
Experience working with government and foundational funding agencies
Experience with financial report writing
Experience supervising a staff of all levels and abilities
Experience in systems implementation
Process improvement operational and financial performance
Proven ability to manage and analyze a portfolio of complex projects/ programs to meet goals/ objectives while maintaining scope
Advanced skills with databases spreadsheets and statistical software programs. Knowledge of business (operational clinical and financial) statistics and data analysis techniques. Ability to manage and analyze data; strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient working with MS Office Suite (including Project Visio Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint)
Proven problem-solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking providing options and recommendations mitigating risks and resolving items
Is highly organized and efficient with great time management skills
Ability to meet multiple deadlines with many stakeholders and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to facilitate the planning process by leading team meetings managing ongoing revisions ensuring priorities are met resolving issues and working collaboratively to ensure consistency
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and complete multiple large projects simultaneously with minimal involvement from the Director
Demonstrated ability in responding to day-to-day crises or unexpected situations effectively.
Effective interpersonal communication skills
Communicating effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of constituents including staff faculty alumni business political and community leaders as well as the general public is essential.
This position is funded by several research grants and may be funded by a subsequentcontract grant. Accordingly this position is contingent upon receipt of the necessary funding from this or any subsequent grantto continue employment.
The annual base salary range for this position is $83000 - $85000. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.
