Job Description

The Role

The Warehouse Inventory Clerk will be responsible is responsible for maintaining accurate records of commodity goods within the warehouse inventory. This includes receiving storing and tracking inventory as well as performing regular audits to ensure accuracy. They also play a crucial role in coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. In essence the Warehouse inventory clerk is the bridge between the physical inventory and the data that represents it. You will ensure that the warehouse has the right products in the right quantities at the right time and that the inventory records are accurate and up-to-date. 

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

  • Communicate all issues that happen in inventory to supervisor
  • Cold Room organization
  • Conduct Accurate counts at all times
  • Investigate all discrepancies in inventory
  • Conduct Cycle counts and be able to identify if product is being handled
  • Fill out daily inventory reports and issue to sales and shipping management
  • Re-print and/ or correct any missing/ mislabeled pallet tags
  • Stack pallets according to inventory report
  • Conduct inventory adjustments on daily basis if necessary
  • Investigate all dumps
  • Follow up on all returned product

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
  • Must have proven discrepancy/problem-solving skills.
  • Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Reliable; consistently at work and on time.
  • 2 year sit-down forklift experience.
  • 2 years of Inventory Control experience a plus.
  • Experience with inventory computer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • The ability to work well with others by building cooperative relationships with other departments.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Excel/Word/Outlook.
  • Must be able to work overtime when business requires i.e. busy seasons vacation coverage etc.
  • Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors including but not limited to the individuals qualifications experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
