Job Description

We are looking for a Development Officer for a 7 month FTC to join our Regeneration and Partnerships this role you will assist with the identification and progression of new growth opportunities for the CHP Group and contribute towards the successful delivery of CHPs Growth Strategy targets to help meet Corporate Plan objectives.

What youll be doing

  • Help identify and progress new growth opportunities for CHP (and its subsidiaries) for both affordable and market sale and rent opportunities.
  • Appraise new schemes in line with CHPs growth assumptions using the ProVal appraisal software for both affordable and private sales and rental homes.
  • Assist in the delivery of new homes utilising CHP land bank undertaking site appraisals assisting with site assembly undertaking resident and public consultation commissioning pre-construction surveys and assisting with planning applications.
  • Undertake research relating to land opportunities planning approvals using on-line planning portals and market rents / sales values.
  • Ensure compliance with the Homes Englands Capital Funding Guidance including maintaining and updating the HE scheme audit files as required.

What we are looking for

  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • At least one years experience of residential property development.
  • Strong IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Outlook).
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

  • 25 days annual leave pro rata per annum plus bank holidays and 3 extra days between Christmas and New Year.
  • 37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager taking account of business need. We operate a hybrid working policy at CHP.
