Join our City Golf Team.
TheDepartment of Enterprise ServiceGolf Courses Divisionis looking for aChemical Treatment Worker IIto properly mix spray and apply insecticides fungicides herbicides and fertilizers on the golf course.
As a Chemical Treatment Worker II your duties and responsibilities will include:- Measuring mixing and applying agronomic chemicals and fertilizers in accordance with labeled instructions.
- Calibrating spray equipment and applying chemicals via motorized/riding spray unit backpack sprayer or hand spray unit.
- Operating a light or medium truck to transport pallets of pesticides and fertilizers farm tractor and/or turf trickster with fertilizer spreader chemical sprayer and aerator attachments.
- Surveying and identifying the area to be treated determines the applicable chemical/fertilizer to be applied and the appropriate amount/mixture to be applied.
- Performing routine safety inspection on all spraying equipment.
- Maintaining chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county state and federal regulations.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in the care maintenance and beautification of landscaped and natural areas including the spraying and application of a variety of agricultural chemicals.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:- Valid Hawaii State drivers license (Type 3) prior to appointment and
- Category 3 Ornamental and Turf Pesticide Applicators License prior to completion of probation.
NOTE: The above licenses/certificates must be obtained by the time indicated and maintained on a current basis thereafter as a condition of employment.Examination Process
