The Customs Operations Associate is responsible for ensuring the smooth customs clearance of goods for Maersk Logistics and Services customers in Morocco. This includes preparing and verifying customs clearance files ensuring compliance with national and international regulations and upholding Maersks high standards. The role also involves liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify customs clearance files for compliance with regulations.
- Analyze contractual documents and ensure document authenticity.
- Handle the execution and completion of customs formalities for import and export.
- Act as a liaison between the MCS department and other internal/external entities.
- Stay updated on evolving laws regulations and procedures.
- Advise customers on current customs regulations.
- Manage operations from initiation to final delivery.
- Ensure proper classification and archiving of customs files.
- Oversee the customs clearance circuit internally and externally.
- Maintain safety and security standards.

Knowledge & Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of international trade and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in tax law customs clearance procedures and international business law.
- Expertise in management supervision and IT tools.
- Fluency in English is required.

- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

A valid drivers license (Category B) is mandatory due to the mobility required for this role.
