Start Date: 1 September 2025

End Date: 31 August 2026

Working Hours: Variable up to approximately 10 hours per week

Pay Rate: 11.44 per hour plus holiday pay (NLW)

Location: Hybrid mostly remote with occasional meetings at University Park Campus. Advance notice will be given

Dress Code: None specified

The duties will include:

  • Contributing to project board meetings
  • Designing evidence-informed recommendations to implement across UoN in partnership with staff
  • Reviewing and contributing to policy documents

Work in this role will begin remotely on 1 September 2025.

  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including senior academic staff
  • Time management
  • Able to meet deadlines

What you can expect to gain during this role:

  • Understanding of barriers faced by students to fully engaging in their studies
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders including other students academic and administrative staff
  • Contribution to University of Nottingham policy and practice
  • Presenting to small groups of university staff and students
  • Understanding of university structures and processes

This role is only available to students studying within the Faculty of Science.

This project focuses on the experiences of international students students with disabilities and students with intersectional identities. We warmly welcome applications from students who meet these criteria as well as applications from individuals of different cultures ethnicities and beliefs.

There are 5 positions available. Please submit a CV and a cover letter. Your cover letter should include your motivation for applying for this role and any relevant skills and professional or lived experience.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CV and cover letter and invited to a 20-minute interview with staff members of the project team.
