The Department
Alfred Healths ABI Community Rehabilitation ServiceTeam provides community based rehabilitation services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries stroke hypoxic brain injuries and other causes of non-progressive brain injury. The ABI Community Rehab Service is part of a specialist statewide ABI rehabilitation service that includes a 36-bed inpatient ward and a 4-bed transitional living service. Our interdisciplinary team consists of specialised evidence-based and highly motivated clinicians.
The clinical work is diverse interesting and often complex. Frequent presenting issues include: mood and anxiety disorders; emotional distress; behavioural change; relationship issues; grief and adjustment.
