Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following other duties may be assigned)
Champion Energy Services a Calpine (NYSE: CPN) company is a thriving business and one of the nations leading electric service providers. Champion is looking for exceptional people to join our team. We have an immediate need for a Contracts Specialist within the Commercial Operations Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for managing commercial retail Contracts building quotes and ensuring that all deals are confirmed independently from Sales
- Confirming contracts have been transferred properly into multiple systems
- Calculating custom contract ETFs (Early Termination Fees)
- Administering daily contract confirmations to Sales personnel
- Overseeing & managing contract amendments inbox
- Quality-checking all contract language provided by Sales to ensure up-to-date contracts as provided by Legal
- Quality-checking data on the contracts to ensure pricing components and accounts are accurate
- Determining if minimum margin requirements have been met
- Confirming Sales Margins to Sales personnel using up-to-date marks
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years work in the retail electricity market with experience in credit contracts or Pricing/ wholesale operations
- Strong Excel skills (some VBA preferred) and SQL experience preferred
- Strong analytical qualitative and logical problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelors degree preferred
