Summary
Provide technical and production support for all SMT processes and equipment. Support and assist PCBA personnel by being the subject matter expert on all the machines. Able operate all SMT equipment. Capable of working with Valor ODB and Gerber files.Job Description
Duties may include:
Support the PCBA group by resolving problems that arise in the SMT process including solder paste printing pick and place reflow SPI x-ray inspection AOI Automated Storage depanel PCBA Wash Ionic Tester and selective solder.
Job duties may also include machine operation setup training and helping operators on machine operation and setup and ensuring proper program performance and efficiency.
Assist in creating work Instructions as well as provide redlines and/or updates.
Assist in any new tool design required to support the PCBA group by developing tooling concepts.
Assist on the qualification of new SMT equipment and on the validation of new PCBAs.
Evaluate troubleshoot and disposition product that has failed.
Experience Level with Business Tools
Experience using software to generate machine code to run SMT pick and place tools.
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Education and Experience
Electrical or related Engineering degree with 3 years of experience or a minimum 7 years of experience manufacturing PCBAs SMT processes SMT programming in contract manufacturing or similar industry.
Experience with Juki SMT equipment and Koh Young inspection tools is a plus
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 J-STD-001

Highly motivated and self-driven
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.
- Light work that willfrequently require employee to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
- Lifting carrying pushing pulling or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently.
- Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally.
- Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools frequently.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion such as long periods of standing walking.
