Position Overview:
The Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Specialist is responsible for monitoring TB patients to ensure they follow their prescribed treatment regimen. Administer Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) where you physically or virtually observe patients taking their medication either through in-person visits or telecom-health methods such as video directly observed therapy (vDOT). This role is vital for ensuring patient adherence preventing the spread of TB and reducing the risk of drug resistance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver comprehensive patient care and communicate effectively to ensure optimal patient outcomes by administer anti-tuberculosis medication through either face-to-face Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) or via Telehealth using Video Directly Observed Therapy (vDOT).

Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
At least six (6) months of experience performing clerical office duties in a health care setting (hospital physician or dental office Health department WIC clinic etc.).
License:
Valid Texas Drivers license.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Communicates clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.

Language:
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
This is a full-time grant-funded position.
This position operates in a field environment with the community medical clinic and standard office environment with standard equipment such as computers phones photocopiers.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
