Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government has trusted in Peraton to provide the technical ability tools and resources to bring criminals to response to this challenge Peraton is seeking a talented Database Engineer (Mid) with expertise in Database Development.
Responsibilities
- Design develop build analyze evaluate and install database management systems to include database modeling and design relational database architecture metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
- Use data mapping data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
- Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements.
- Prepare system requirements source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
- Evaluate sizes and selects technology components such as software hardware and networking capabilities for database management systems and application databases.
- Write and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability. Implements comprehensive backup and database replication solutions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
- 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- You have 3 years of experience with Data Modeling Data warehouse architecture implementation and O&M.
- You have 5 years of experience using data tools including MSSQL Change Data Capture (CDC) Apache Flume Postgres.
- You have 3 years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell and Power-BI.
- You have 5 years of experience building or maintaining high-availability failovers backups scaling and clustering operational systems.
