Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize seat assembly processes from pre-assembly to final testing and shipping aligned with Just-In-Time (JIT) schedules. This position plays a key role in improving product quality tooling performance and operational efficiency within automotive seating operations.
Responsibilities
Pre-assembly Stage
- Coordinate and validate wiring harness installations
- Integrate heating elements with foam components
- Assemble foam to metal structures and minor trim parts
Main Assembly Operations
- Execute and support seat cushion to frame assemblies
- Install recliner mechanisms and plastic trims
- Conduct seat trim adjustments remove wrinkles and perform functional testing
Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and recommend efficiency improvements
- Validate adjust and optimize tooling to improve reliability and safety
- Define and refine testing procedures and quality assurance checkpoints
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet operational goals
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience in automotive seat assembly or similar manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of assembly aids ergonomic tooling and JIT logistics
- Familiarity with quality systems testing protocols and root cause analysis
- Problem-solving mindset with hands-on implementation skills
