This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of environmental monitoring and laboratory activities within a regulated scientific environment. The Supervisor ensures compliance with quality standards manages sample collection and testing workflows and leads a team of laboratory professionals to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate environmental monitoring programs including sampling of compressed gases water and cleanroom environments.
- Supervise laboratory operations ensuring timely and accurate testing data review and reporting.
- Manage equipment calibration and maintenance schedules to support uninterrupted lab functionality.
- Oversee training programs for laboratory staff and ensure competency in procedures and compliance.
- Utilize LIMS for sample tracking data management and performance metrics reporting.
- Conduct investigations and prepare technical reports related to laboratory deviations or anomalies.
- Support microbial identification and media acceptance testing as needed.
- Apply Lean principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor laboratory analysts and group leaders fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate scheduling task assignments and onboarding for new team members.
- Manage overtime and weekend work schedules to meet project timelines.
- Promote company values and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Participate in hiring processes and contribute to team development initiatives.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Chemistry Microbiology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory operations and team leadership.
- Hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time onsite position based on a second shift schedule (Monday through Friday 2 pm-10:30 pm) with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Rensselaer NY are strongly encouraged to apply.
