Job Description
TITLE: Systems Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
RATE RANGE: $35/hr - $41/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)
CLEARANCE: Secret obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements
LOCATION: Onsite in McLeansville NC 27301 (no relocation package offered)

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Systems Engineer youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing a test program to very system and subsystem requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts principles theories and technical standards
Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
Manager needs experience with fiber optics and an electrical engineer background is preferred
PREFERED SKILLS
Design and Qualification of electrical systems
Design and Qualification of optical systems
Electrical/Optical system design including requirement allocation and decomposition
Requirements Lifecycle Management
New product development and transition to manufacturing
Agile experience preferred
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree.
