Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Associate Director Program Manager for the Japan Patriot Product Improvement Program. This role is very complex and made up of both capture and program management activities. You will have the responsibility of driving a key customer product road map along with one of Raytheons largest strategic investments for LTAMDS Integration into Patriot. You will be responsible for meeting the AOP and executing toward the 5-year plan for the existing programs and growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for establishing priorities optimizing performance and execution across all funding sources supporting both business and customer requirements.
You will be the primary customer interface for all Japan related Patriot Modernization LTAMDS and MHICC capture efforts and be responsible for driving success across teams of individuals from Requirements & Capabilities Engineering Legal Global Supply Chain Contracts Finance and Global Patriot Program Directors. You will support the development of capability roadmaps driven by international evolving needs and ensure alignment with the product roadmaps / development programs for the Global Patriot product portfolio and regional customer capability needs.
What You Will Do
- Overall leadership of the Product Improvement (PI) program for an international customer responsible for driving development & execution efforts to achieve the INDOPACOM Annual Operating and Long-Range plans
- Establish priorities optimize performance and execution across all contracts and support both business and customer requirements
- Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations (organized in an Agile team framework) including but not limited to Engineering Contracts Finance Procurement/Supply Chain Manufacturing/Operations Quality Management Logistics and administrative functions
- Lead all aspects of program execution while meeting strategic objectives
- Establish and maintain key program metrics define program milestones/critical path and monitor adherence to program budgets and schedules
- Support the resolution of escalated program risks across the portfolio and similarly escalate as appropriate
- Develop and lead a team of direct and indirect reports. Focus evaluate motivate and reward the program team enabling them to achieve desired results
- Ensure that functional resources tools and processes are utilized in a consistent way
- Establish and build strong customer and industry partner relationships
- Act as empowered authority to accomplish program objectives
- Lead and/or support new and sustaining business activities to include proposals ARs and strategic planning with a focus on optimization affordability and continuous production
- Expected to support domestic and international travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in two or more of the following: program management engineering and/or development
- Leadership experience managing risk cost quality and schedule for programs with domestic and international customers
- Experience establishing and executing a long-term strategy partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to execute that strategy
Qualifications We Prefer
- Understanding of the DoD acquisition environment and processes along with US Army and/or other service branches programs (large programs preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing large/complex program execution experience managing program staffing assignments and resources
- Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans AOP Technology Roadmaps planning to senior management and responsibility for executing approved plans
- Experience leading and/or supporting large complex production programs
