Job Description

Work. Reporting to the Property Services Manager you will assess and provide expert advice in relation to a wide range of property management matters including land acquisition disposal leasing / licensing easements planning and development encroachments detailed tenure assessment land resumptions and have an in-depth understanding of cultural heritage and native title assessment considerations.

Using your highly developed reasoning skills you will analyse complex property management and land tenure matters and develop strategies to support risk and compliance management. You will also deliver effective and efficient management of Sunwaters property portfolio to ensure consistency with required state and federal government requirements.

In addition you will:

  • Provide technical input into negotiations on complex land acquisition and other property transactions with state and local government departments private organisations community groups and other stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies for long-term management and rationalisation of land for projects and operational use
  • Prepare internal and external reporting on property related matters and the Sunwater portfolio with recommendations for decision making.

We are seeking an experienced property professional with 7 years experience in similar role with the ability to provide recommendations to support key decision-making and strategic planning. You will have practical experience in property and tenure management for large diverse property portfolios and have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.

You will also bring:

  • Degree in property or relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Native Title and Cultural Heritage assessments (ideal)
  • Well-developed negotiation and consultation skills with ability to facilitate and resolve disputes relating to land matters
