Job Description

West Acres mall is seeking an applicant to join our Security Officer team in a full-time capacity. Security Officers work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere and promote business success at the property. He/she will become familiar with all aspects of mall operations and trained to understand how Safety & Security play a critical role. Typical hours are Wednesday-Saturday 1:30pm-10pm and Sundays 12-8pm with no overnight shifts required and all work is performed on West Acres mall property. The range of pay for this non-exempt position is $17.50-$18.50/hour (depending on experience) and we offer generous paid time off and insurance benefits. Join our team!

Core Functions

  • Demonstrate a culture of customer service by responding to security and safety needs of customers and staff in a rapid friendly respectful and helpful manner
  • Perform security patrols in and around the West Acres Development and Adjacent properties with the ability to be on your feet for the majority of your shift
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create safety hazards or security risks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to acquire state security license
  • Experience in or ability to be trained in law enforcement security or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions consistent with company policy
