JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager or Director of Patient Access the staffing coordinator is responsible for staffing and scheduling duties in Patient Access. This role includes performance management training and collaboration with management to achieve departmental goals. The coordinator actively participates in process improvement and cross-departmental coordination to support the overall mission and operational success of Saint Francis Healthcare System. This position works well independently solving problems and acts as liaison with others outside the department to create smooth workflows and transitions of information needed for Admission/Registration. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadership. Prioritizes workload effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomes. Demonstrates adaptability and a proactive approach to managing both routine and emerging departmental needs. This position will maintain work queues.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent- required
Courses in typing Business English and computer experience- preferred
Certification & Licensures:
N/A
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in registration- required
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to organize and perform detailed work.
Demonstrates ability to perform a variety of duties under stress evidence of good verbal and written communication skills.
Evidence of good telephone etiquette and an understanding and practice of customer orientation.
