TDC is a residential facility located in Northwest Ohio. We support youth aged 10-17 and adults with developmental disabilities. We have a large rural campus which provides opportunities for our residents to be active in addition to being part of our community. Our direct care staff and nurses provide 24/7 care to the individuals who call TDC home. We focus on support and stabilization so our individuals can integrate into an environment that best meets their wants and needs.
What you will do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 2:
The Maintenance Department plays a key role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. We have an 80- acre main campus consisting of 6 residential buildings various support buildings and outdoor spaces. Example duties include:
This is an intermittent position - the hours of work will not follow a set schedule and may involve working on weekends. Intermittent appointments are limited to 1000 hours per fiscal year and are not eligible for health benefits or paid leave. The wage will remain at step 1 in the pay scale.
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. maintenance repair work (e.g. basic electricity plumbing carpentry masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment); in accordance with section 124.11 (B) (2) of revised code Director Of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
