LEMOINE a Great Place to Work-Certified company is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our Disaster Response - Logistics this entry-level role you will play a key role in preparing for responding to and recovering from disaster events with responsibilities centered on emergency operations logistical coordination safety compliance and resource tracking alongside supporting resource management. Travel is required for approximately 50% of the time to provide hands-on operational support at various disaster response sites. Your contributions to projects and administrative support will drive efficient emergency response aligning with LEMOINEs Foundations for Successful Execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating disaster response and recovery operations including deployment of personnel supplies and equipment to affected areas.
- Study Contract Documents to understand project scope and support operational execution.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams field staff and external vendors to ensure timely updates and situational awareness.
- Support the development and maintenance of logistics plans for emergency preparedness and response.
- Knows and understands LEMOINEs LIFE Safe Work Practices.
- Assists in safety pre-planning sessions and post-disaster evaluations to identify safety improvements.
- Track and document resources used during disaster operations ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Assist in conducting warehouse inventory audits to ensure compliance with regulations and preparedness for rapid deployment in disaster scenarios.
- Assist in sourcing and coordinating with vendors for emergency supplies and services.
- Maintain accurate logs including incident reports procurement records and inventory documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Emergency Management Disaster Recovery Homeland Security Management or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 02 years of experience in disaster response logistics or related fields (entry-level position).
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software programs.
- Strong organizational communication (written and oral) and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
- Willingness to travel to disaster sites.
