About the Role:
Working in a team setting this person will use their maintenance experience to conduct and oversee high level repairs on all types of rotating mechanical equipment including but not limited to Offsite pumping station repairs Conveyance systems Biosolids decanting centrifugesTurblexAeration Blowers Influent and effluent pumps Bio-gas scrubbing compressors gear boxes conveyance systems and multiple piping systems. The ideal candidate will alsohave the opportunity torefine their machining and welding skills.

The wastewater treatment division carries out essential work that protects the environment and all members of the public. We are comprised of a group of professionals that strives to deliver outstanding service through a collaborative effort both at our treatment plants and offsite collection facilities. The Industrial Maintenance Team are a critical component within the wastewater treatment division helping to fulfill the countys mission to protect the regions water air land and natural habitats.

Job Duties
What You Will Be Doing:
- Maintain repair troubleshoot and overhaul a variety of complex machinery.
- Install repairmaintainand design piping and plumbing systems for sewage water gaseschemicalsand solids usingappropriate materials.Installdesignand fabricate a variety of metal fixtures including vents air ducts doors louvers containers equipment covers machinery bases and support members.
- Design fabricate and repair plant piping equipment guards and bases using welding equipment metal inert and tungsten inert gases arc cutting torch and plasma cutter and plastic welder.
- Plan equipment repairs using blueprints engineering drawings computer-aided design Maintenance Information Management System (MIMS) operations and maintenance manuals vendor data catalogs internet or intranet information work with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) personnel to provide as-built drawings tofacilitateparts and material ordering equipment assembly and modifications.
Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Two years experience working as a Millwright or equivalent.
- General Knowledge of hydraulics weldingfabricationand machining.
- Experience with heavy machinery repair such as RSPs and peaking pumps.
- Experience with Chemical and odor control systems and equipment.
- Experience with Industrial safety standards.
- CDL Crane Operator Back flow cross control specialist.
Directs WorkProviding direction delegating and removing obstacles to get work done
Manages ConflictHandling conflict situations effectively with a minimum of noise
Plans and AlignsPlanning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
Interpersonal SavvyRelating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
Communicates EffectivelyDeveloping and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

Working Conditions:
- Work Location: South Treatment Plant - 1200 Monster Road SW Renton WA 98057
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week with a 4 days per week 10 hours per day work schedule Monday - Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. The work schedule will be determined based on business needs. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. The position requires the ability to work all shift schedules and required to report to work during adverse and inclement weather conditions
- Union Representation: This position is represented by S.E.I.U. 925 (Wastewater Treatment Division)
- Physical Requirement:Incumbents perform field work at a wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities and are required to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds use ladders and there is exposure to hazardous chemicals and noxious odors.
