Six years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
An associates degree in information technology plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelors degree plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelors degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology computer science engineering mathematics or business analytics field plus three years of experience in information technology; OR
A masters degree plus three years of experience in information technology.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NOTE:
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties:
Lead and Guide Project Work
Manage IT projects from start to finish making sure everyone knows what to do and stays on track.
Help team members solve problems and complete technical tasks on time.
Plan and Deliver Solutions
Use your knowledge of tech tools to suggest better ways to get things done.
Plan out timelines and resources needed for new systems or system improvements.
Design and Build Systems
Help design and build new technology tools that the department uses every day.
Work with databases and applications to make sure everything fits together and runs smoothly.
Work with Others to Get Results
Talk regularly with coworkers and managers to keep everyone updated on project progress.
Lead meetings share updates and make sure everything is clearly documented.
Keep Systems Running Smoothly
Make sure updates and changes to systems dont cause problems with other parts of the departments tech setup.
Troubleshoot issues when systems dont work as expected and help fix them quickly.
Train and Support the Team
Share your knowledge with others by helping newer team members or explaining how certain tools work.
Create user guides or step-by-step instructions to make tools easier to use.
Use Data to Drive Decisions
Look at system data and user needs to help decide what changes or improvements should be made.
Help gather and review information used in contracts and special tech projects.
Explore New Technologies
Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and tools.
Recommend new tools that can help the department work smarter and faster.
