Description

The role of a brand ambassador is to raise awareness of the University of Nottingham Sport brand and health and wellbeing offer amongst fellow students.

Its a fantastic opportunity to gain real marketing and communications experience and contribute to the ambitious vision of the UoN Sport department.


Start Date:September 2025 (ideally w/c 15 September 2025)
End Date: June 2026
Working Hours:6 hours per week
Pay Rate: 13.12 per hour plus holiday pay
Location: David Ross Sports Village University Park
Dress Code: Smart casual branded sports kit will be provided

Supported by the Sports Marketing and Communications Manager the duties will include:

  • Helping shape marketing campaigns targeted to students.
  • Maximising personal connections to drive awareness of the UoN Sport offer including UoN sport and fitness membership Active Living and our retail range.
  • Creating original engaging and relevant digital content for students showcasing our offer e.g. vlogs social takeovers.
  • Creating original engaging and relevant digital match day content at key sporting events for the department e.g. Varsity Headliner and BUCS Big Wednesday.
  • Developing and support student spectator engagement activations for above key events.
  • Providing additional capacity at key department events such as Open Days and Welcome.


Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Candidates must be studying at the University of Nottingham for the full 2025/26 academic year.
  • Passionate about sport fitness and staying active at university.
  • Knowledge of University of Nottingham Sport offer and programmes.
  • Experience of promoting events or campaigns via social media either personally or for an organisation (voluntary or paid).
  • Photography and video editing skills would be an advantage but not compulsory.
