Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Job Status: Full-time

Texas Research International (TRI) a group of profitable privately-owned companies with 145 employees and $50M in revenue is seeking a Financial Analyst to own the handle Budgeting Forecasting financial analysis and reporting for TRIs group of companies.

This position will involve working side by side with the accounting team providing support to leadership & managers and report to the Chief Financial Officer.

About the role

The Financial Analyst provides critical financial analysis budgeting forecasting and reporting for Texas Research International and its subsidiaries. This role requires strong analytical skills to support strategic decision-making and drive growth. Effective time management is imperative in this position as deadlines are non-negotiable. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging both colleagues and superiors motivating them to take action without appearing pushy. Curiosity and patience are key traits for success. As a vital component of our business operations the Senior Accountant maintains the integrity of our data and documentation with unwavering accuracy.

What youll do

  • Conduct financial analysis of TRI operations identifying KPIs and trends.
  • Develop financial models for forecasting budgeting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports for management.
  • Support strategic planning with financial modeling.
  • Analyze growth and savings initiatives to achieve financial objectives.
  • Serve as a Finance subject matter expert for FP&A systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance.
  • Identify improvements in financial processes.
  • Analyze complex financial information for decision support.
  • Participate in Month End Closing activities for one or more entities.
  • Utilize software applications for company accounting operations.
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required.

What you need

  • Finance Accounting or Economics degree from 4-year university
  • 3 years of experience in financial analysis planning or accounting.
  • Ability of analyze financial data and provide recommendations.
  • Have excellent knowledge of excel specifically XLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Understanding of accounting rules and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial analysis techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Act with integrity remaining honest transparent and respectful in all relationships.
  • Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you.
  • Continuously innovate new solutions influencing and responding to change.
  • High attention to detail.
  • CPA CFA or MBA) will be preferred.
  • Experience with Acumatica; Velixo; preferred.
  • Experience in Business-to-Business environment.
  • Corporate Accounting experience a plus.
  • Must be able to adapt to an ever-evolving technology landscape.
