QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in warehousing purchasing inventory control or related areas preferred. Knowledge of computer systems and applications preferred. Must possess of a valid Missouri Class E Drivers license and excellent driving record required. Food Service Sanitation certification required within the first six months of employment. High school diploma or equivalent required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Position
To assist in the operation that ensures full efficiency in the acquisition of food and general supplies and educational supplies and equipment. .
REPORTS TO: Director of Food & Nutrition Services
EXAMPLE (S) of WORK PERFORMED:
- Assists in the planning and directing of the warehousing program for equipment food and supplies accounting.
- Oversees the inventory and stock control program for equipment food and supplies.
- Assists in the preparation of reports on the activities of the department.
- Receives food and supplies accurately and inspects for damage or defects.
- Verifies accuracy of shipments by counting weighing or measuring food and supplies and comparing amounts size weight description and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase order or order sheet; records and reports discrepancies (e.g. quality quantity) or damage.
- Checks and records the temperature of refrigerated and frozen foods at the time of delivery.
- Marks date received on all food supplies.
- Marks identifying information on items.
- Stores food and items according to established procedures and per local health department regulations.
- Rotates stock based on First In First Out (FIFO).
- Fills school frozen/refrigerated and dry food orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Records temperatures of walk-in freezer and refrigerator in the AM and the PM.
- Takes physical count periodically of stock on hand and verifies count with inventory control totals.
- Maintains warehouse storeroom and walk-in freezer and refrigerator in an orderly manner.
- Readies warehouse storeroom and walk-in freezer and refrigerator for deliveries.
- Transports and delivers food and supplies to schools.
- Stores all chemicals away from food supplies.
- Follows warehouse cleaning schedule..
- Assists in preparing periodic reports relating to the purchasing/inventory requisitioning function.
- Assumes responsibility for the operation of inventory management systems and central warehousing operations.
- Assists when needed district mail and other delivery activity and daily deposits of school lunch receipts.
- Operates all machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manages repairs and regular maintenance of all warehouse vehicles.
- Follows the Warehouse HACCP Guidelines.
- Cleans offices and bathrooms in the Shop/Warehouse at the end of the day only.
- Empties trash in Warehouse Shop and Child Nutrition offices
- Assumes Driver Position duties as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands (Strength)
