Job Description

POSITION:Buyer
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME:Full Time
LOCATION:
React Health is a fast-paced growth-driven manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment dedicated to supporting patients caregivers physicians and healthcare providers. With a focuson respiratory and sleep health sectors we offer a comprehensive range of products and services across acute care non-acute care and home medical equipment. By integrating manufacturing and distribution React Health addresses the needs of both undiagnosed individuals and those requiring therapy after diagnosis particularly within the sleep and respiratory care sectors.
GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Buyer you will focus on the procurement of indirect goods and services critical to company operations including but not limited to facilities IT professional services MRO (maintenance repair and operations) office supplies and capital equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing procurement transactions supporting vendor relationships ensuring compliance with internal policies and helping drive cost efficiencies across departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least two years of experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement/ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business Administration or related field.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (Kaizens improvement workshops etc.) and continuous improvement techniques.
  • APICS certified (CPIM CSCP).
  • QMS (ISO 13485) experience for medical device design and manufacturing.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare medical device or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with purchasing policies contract terms and vendor management practices.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsNetSuite experience is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to cost-saving initiatives vendor performance tracking and sourcing best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Physical Demands
  • Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
  • Typically employees sit comfortably to do their work interspersed by brief periods of standing walking bending carrying papers and books and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location department or line of business.

Working Conditions
  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Some work (less than 5%) may require moving or lifting materials on the manufacturing floor or in a warehouse.


DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Each Employee consistently demonstrates the following essential functions:
  • Process purchase orders and requisitions for indirect goods and services in accordance with company procedures and approval workflows.
  • Communicate with internal departments to clarify specifications delivery timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Identify evaluate and engage with vendors to source competitive pricing and ensure reliable delivery of services and materials.
  • Support vendor onboarding contract review and performance tracking.
  • Monitor purchase order status ensure on-time deliveries and resolve discrepancies related to pricing quantity or quality.
  • Collaborate with Finance and AP to reconcile invoices match POs and resolve billing issues.
  • Assist with maintaining procurement documentation vendor records and spend reports.
  • Help drive cost-saving initiatives improve procurement processes and ensure compliance with company sourcing policies.
  • Support audits data integrity checks and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to facilities management IT procurement and operational support.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings.
  • Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence.
  • Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met.
  • Follow evidence base standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
  • Attends all meetings in-services training or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor.
  • Provides customer focused interactions.
  • Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.
