Job Description
Join a well-established and growing Public Accounting Firm with over 50 years of success in Lake County Illinois! We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our clients dynamic team. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity with excellent benefits and a supportive flexible work environment including reduced summer hours!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plan individual and corporate income taxes
- Compile and review financial statements
- Handle bookkeeping payroll and sales tax returns
- Participate in audits and special projects
- Maintain client confidentiality and compliance standards
Qualifications:
- 5 years of public accounting experience (REQUIRED)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)
- Proficient with Lacerte Ultra Tax Accounting CS and QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail organization and time management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
