Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in coordinating managing programs and events.
  • Experience with contract oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree.
  • Entrepreneurial backgrounds/insight and experience working with students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the entrepreneurial education and training events. Monitors the growth and development of signature programs (i.e. Entrepreneur Roundtables Lunch N Learn Dine N Discover events The Entrepreneurial Resource Center Maker Space The IQ Xchange Launch to Success the Falcon Talks Curriculum Tracks: mindset design thinking financial management). Coordinates activities with DSC and public high school students in support of the L. Gale Lemerand Speaker Series.
  • Manages all related funding streams facilitates procurement and curates and reports data as required.
  • Identifies and assigns entrepreneurs to speak at events and/or to serve as mentors to students. Coordinates presentation schedules with the faculty.
  • Manges and covers entrepreneurial outreach events.
  • Provides daily oversight of the Entrepreneurial Resource Center(s) (located on two campuses) and Maker Space manages inventory and supervises work study students.
  • Directs and engages in outreach and recruitment. Develops marketing and communication strategies that attracts and sustains student and entrepreneur involvement.
  • Coordinates outreach schedules advisory board /stakeholder meetings and monitors the 3 curriculum tracks to include teacher training and certifications student enrollments and completion certifications.
  • Works with the Colleges marketing department in the design and development of effective marketing communications campaigns and tools.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills multi-tasking skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computers peripherals and software programs such as Microsoft Suite (ex: word) and Peoplesoft.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be flexible to meet the demands of the College.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must have the ability to collect analyze summarize data and generate reports as well as give information guidance and assistance to students staff and customers.
