Job Description
Job Title: Data Engineer Contract (c2c)
Primary Location: Remote (Preferred regions: LATAM)
Position Type: Contract (6-12 months with potential extension)
TalentFish is casting a line for a Data Engineer Contract. This is a Contract role in a
Remote or Hybrid work environment. This position exists to provide critical support for
maintaining and enhancing a shared data cube infrastructure which has recently
transitioned from joint usage to internal ownership. As we scale operations and continue to
support roadmap and backlog initiatives this role will help ensure data reliability
infrastructure integrity and tactical engineering execution alongside our full-time data team.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in data warehouse design and maintenance
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Azure Synapse pipelines SQL Server and SSAS.
- SQL Server and Oracle performance tuning indexing etc.
- Experience supporting operational data environments including monitoring troubleshooting and optimization
- Oracle ERP Databases data extraction integration ETL SSIS Informatica or Azure Data Factory
- Database automation - Python PowerShell or PL/SQL
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services including Azure SQL Synapse Analytics Data Lake Storage and Databricks.
- Familiarity with OLAP cube design and tools such as SSAS or Oracle OLAP.
- Ability to handle both tactical backlog items and strategic roadmap execution
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Self-starter attitude with a focus on delivery and cost-efficiency
What Youll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- Maintain and enhance an existing data cube infrastructure post-transition from a shared services model
- Support data engineering workflows including ingestion transformation and quality control
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure roadmap and backlog items are executed with quality and on time
- Provide operational support for data systems ensuring uptime accuracy and performance
- Develop scripts and tools to automate and streamline data engineering tasks
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet evolving data needs
- Participate in the long-term planning for a sustainable and scalable data infrastructure
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $25-45 an hour. This role may qualify for
additional benefits such as health insurance 401(k) and paid time off for long-term
engagements depending on location. The salary range provided follows applicable state and
federal regulations. This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current
or future visa sponsorship. All offers are contingent upon the completion of a background
check which may include but is not limited to reference checks education verification
employment verification drug testing criminal records checks and any required
certifications or compliance requirements based on the end clients background check
policies and applicable laws.
