Mechanic / MOT Tester
39780 (Negotiable DOE)
Peterborough
Full-time MondayFriday 8:00am5:30pm and Saturdays only when required.
Were working with a busy independent MOT and repair centre based just outside Peterborough who are looking to take on a qualified MOT Tester to join their team. If youre confident with prep work repairs and testingand want to be part of a straightforward supportive workshopthis could be a great fit.
The Role:
As a Mechanic / MOT Tester youll be responsible for carrying out MOT tests alongside general repair and servicing work. Youll be working in a well-equipped and tidy garage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards
Perform general servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles
Handle prep work and ensure vehicles are test-ready
Maintain workshop cleanliness and uphold health & safety standards
Deliver great customer service when required
About You:
MOT Testing Licence is essential
Experience working in a similar garage/mechanic role
Confident working independently and as part of a small team
Professional and reliable with a customer-first attitude
Driving licence preferred
What Youll Get:
39780 per year (17 per hour) Negotiable
