Job Description
This position is .6 FTE split between Barnstable West Barnstable Barnstable Community Innovation and Centerville Elementary Schools. Benefit eligible.
JOB GOAL: To implement GATEWAY curriculum by working with students on a small-group or individual basis in an enrichment room setting who have been identified to work on accelerated or curriculum-based enrichment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Degree
- Course work in gifted education
- Familiarity with curriculum compacting
- Experience and interest in facilitating curriculum and interest-based enrichment.
- Appropriate certification
REPORTS TO: Director of Teaching & Learning PreK-5
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with team teachers to identify students who will be compacted out of class time to work on enrichment activities
- Sets up schedules for students to be compacted out of regular class time
- Works with students to facilitate and oversee specific enrichment or acceleration
- Assist with evaluation instruments for student performance
- Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students
- Secures supplies
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Teaching & Learning PreK-5
TERMS OFEMPLOYMENT: School Year
SALARY: Per BTA Contract
