The Information Services Support Division of the Alaska Court System (ACS) invites applications for a Network Specialist 1. This position will provide technical support for ACS network devices and services. The following are currently assigned duties.
This is not a remote position and requires in-person work at the Anchorage court location.
Join the Alaska Court Systems Networking team and help power the systems that keep justice moving! Were looking for a tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys working with servers networks and cutting-edge this role youll install and maintain Datacenter/WAN/LAN infrastructure and manage systems like Microsoft Windows Server Exchange SQL Citrix antivirus software and morekeeping our critical technology running smoothly.
Youll troubleshoot network issues fine-tune system performance and make sure users have secure access to the tools they need. From supporting local and wide area networks to enhancing digital communication systems your work will have a real impact every day. Youll collaborate with state agencies and vendors plan for emergencies and help shape the future of court technology.

This position is in the partially-exempt service; the incumbent serves at-will to the appointing authority.

The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Three years of professional experience in networking information technology analysis and troubleshooting system maintenance computer hardware and software installation and maintenance network utilities and services and database management; one year of which MUST be in Microsoft-based network operating systems.
Substitution:
A bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Engineering Computer Science or a closely related field may substitute for two years of non-specific professional experience.
OR
A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certificate or relevant certification may substitute for one year of non-specific professional experience.
