Serves as the hospitals clinic nurse. Resource for patient and employee health questions. Supervises clinic functions; works closely with outside physicians and in-house physicians. Assists contract physician services to patients and documents every occurrence. Maintains the acquisition and distribution of nursing care supplies to patient care areas; equipment rentals/repairs/ and purchases. Monitors emergency equipment in other patient areas (i.e. patient caf student services etc.) Oversees staff performing instrument sterilization and autoclaving to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS standards. Oversees the completion of admission EKGS and document in patient medical charts. Arranges for transport of patients to clinic for appointments as needed. Schedules appointments related to referral to outside clinics and schedule mobile x-rays as needed. Directs Resident Cares Aids (RCAs) and General Office Assistants (GOAs) assigned to the clinic and act as a lead worker for staff to follow.
The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment random post-accident reasonable suspicion return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.

Education
Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Experience
One year of experience equivalent to a Practical Nurse-Licensed E9.Additional Requirements and Information
