Job Description

English/Language Arts DepartmentMalden Catholic a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Codivisional Middle and High School for young men and women is seeking a candidate for bilingual Chinese/English teacher with native ability in Mandarin and near native ability in English to enhance the experience of its international exchange students from China. This position will have a focus on supporting and enhancing the success of those students for whom English may still be at the beginner-intermediate level in vocabulary and to support the Catholic mission of the schoolVaried Assessment methodsDeveloping lesson plans at the high school levelCollaboration with teachers and the Director of International ProgramContact with families and guardians relative to the students progressPossibility of teaching 1 or 2 classes in MandarinEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in English and MandarinMasters Degree in ELAExperience in teaching English Language at a high school levelSensitivity toward cultural diversityMalden Catholic encourages all members of the faculty in addition to teaching to be involved in the life of the school beyond the classroom supporting the wide range of co-curricular intramural and interscholastic programs we candidates please provide electronically cover letter resume college transcript (unofficial) and 2 letters of recommendation to: Jeffrey P.
