You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Financial Management Section of King Countys Finance and Business Operations Division is seeking a Automation Accountant Analyst (Business & Finance Officer III) to handle data.
In this position you will serve a primary role in the development of new automated strategies for compilation and issuance of the Countys Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). No governmental financial reporting experience No problem! The nonmajor enterprise funds assigned to this position use full accrual accounting very similar to the private sector and we can teach you the differences between FASB and GASB accounting upon hire. Additionally you will have the opportunity to support County agency staff in their achievement of financial reporting excellence.
Our ideal candidate will combine scripting data extraction and manipulation and process automation skills with accounting and financial reporting expertise. To be effective you must be able to analyze understand and transform the financial data from king Countys complex business processes and systems into valuable information for financial reporting and use by financial statement readers departmental staff auditors and other interested parties. The most competitive candidates will bring their love of data and automation along with experience using accounting data to prepare financial reports. You also value teamwork and collaboration in the workplace and excel at customer service.
