Job Description

Position Title:

Lead QC Technician (12 month FTC)

Reporting To:

QC Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scientific and technical tasks within the Microbiology Quality Control Department in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures and potentially lead all aspects of the work of others within the section.
  • Prepare technical documentation within the department as required.
  • Train others as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all personal lead times barring any attenuating circumstances.
  • Manage and complete projects within the department as needed.
  • Develop and validate laboratory procedures.
  • Review analytical and laboratory data for accuracy completeness and compliance with detailed procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues on site and participate in departmental and site-wide problem-solving.
  • Undertake additional tasks as necessary.
  • Apply cGMP in your area of work and align with cGMP across the business.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree in Applied Biology (with microbiology) or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
  • Proven ability to work to critical timelines.
  • A proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills at all internal levels.

  • Comply strictly with all EH&S requirements.
  • Observe and promote safety behavior in the working environment.
