Compensation:
The wage range listed represents the potential compensation opportunities for this position. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined by the hiring manager based on a variety of factors including candidate experience education relevant skills and qualifications brought to the role. The initial offer could be any amount within the posted range reflecting Epsilons commitment to fair and competitive compensation.
Where youll work:
You will work onsite in Crystal City VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas VA within the first year.
Our Customers Mission:
Team Epsilon has been chosen to deliver full-spectrum IT and Cyber Security support to a critical and enduring multinational organization within the United States Department of Defense. This DoD organization manages the resourcing development and sustainment of one of our nations most coveted and capable platforms. Our role in this mission involves managing classified environments supporting international partners and foreign military sales (FMS) clients providing top-tier desk-side support and offering adaptable enterprise infrastructure solutions. An average day:
As Solutions Architect you will design and implement hybrid cloud-based solutions with a primary focus on deploying applications in both AWS and Azure government cloud environments. This position is instrumental in deploying and implementing scalable and extensible IT environments to meet the needs of the customer while ensuring seamless integration with our development this position you will:
- Gather analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions that address specific business problems and goals
- Create comprehensive solution designs including architecture diagrams technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies platforms frameworks and products based on business needs technical constraints and cost considerations
- Ensure solutions adhere to organizational architecture standards security requirements and compliance regulations
- Guide development teams through implementation challenges and serve as the primary technical authority for projects
- Collaborate with business leaders product managers developers and other IT teams to align solutions with organizational objectives
- Assess existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and technical debt reduction strategies
- Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies before and during implementation
- Create functional prototypes to validate architectural approaches and demonstrate technical feasibility
- Maintain comprehensive solution documentation including rationale for key decisions constraints and future considerations
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support knowledge transfer to implementation and support teams
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative approaches that create competitive advantages

Required:
- Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security CySA GICSP GSEC Security CE CND SSCP)
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
Basic Qualifications:
- As a requirement of this position all candidates must be a U.S. accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
- 10 years of experience in cloud architecture with a focus on designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.
- Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security CySA GICSP GSEC Security CE CND SSCP)
- Expert understanding of cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP etc.) proficient in infrastructure as code (Terraform CloudFormation etc.) and deep experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- Has designed several scalable high-performance architectures possesses a strong understanding of microservices serverless and other cloud-native approaches.
- Expert understanding of cloud security best practices identity and access management encryption and compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies and iterative development cycles.
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. (This is a federal contract position and requires candidates to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust. Adjudication of the required Security Clearance or Public Trust is determined solely by the government. If the government determines that the candidate cannot obtain and/or maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust Epsilon will be unable to place the candidate in this position.)
- Will be subject to a federal background investigation.
- Must be able to travel regularly both domestically and internationally international travel will require a current US Passport.
