Description

Title:Esports Coach Combat & Sports stipend position

Responsibilities:The Esports Coach Combat & Sports at Central Maine Community College will lead the daily coaching and development of teams competing in Super Smash Bros Ultimate Rocket League EA FC and Madden within CMCCs state-of-the-art Esports Arena. Competing in ECAC and MECA this role includes coordinating practice and match schedules offering individual and team-based coaching to improve gameplay and communication and working a flexible schedule with most activities occurring in the evening. The coach will actively recruit prospective student-athletes manage events such as tournaments and camps and promote the program through social media and streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting gaming equipment coordinating with Athletics and IT staff on arena updates transporting players to events and maintaining compliance through roster submissions and match result reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience coaching esports at the high school or collegiate level
  • Experience with multiplayer games and team-based tactics
  • Proficiency with Discord Twitch OBS Studio and Canva is a plus
  • Valid drivers license and able to operate CMCC registered vehicles to and from events
