Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Four years of direct experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree. |
Position Qualifications: | Knowledge of the archaeological and historical resources in northwest Florida; knowledge and/or experience with public interpretation of cultural resources; advanced skill in interpersonal communication public speaking and working with volunteers. |
Preferred Qualifications | Masters degree in archaeology or related discipline; knowledge of Florida archaeology history Cultural Resource Management and best preservation practices; familiarity with social media platforms and content creation. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Courteous manner in dealing with the public; Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language; Registered Professional Archaeologist. |
Essential Functions / Job Duties: | - 50% - Planning and presenting public archaeology programing in Northwest Florida: Creating planning and presenting new and existing public archaeology programming in Northwest Florida such as lectures tours workshops and trainings. - (Essential)
