Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Managing Director Principal Relationship Manager as part of the Consumer & Retail (C&R) Corporate Banking team. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a broad range of corporate clients and delivering the full platform of Wells Fargos capabilities including Credit Treasury Management Macro solutions Debt & Equity Capital Markets Leveraged Finance M&A related Acquisition Finance and Global Receivables & Trade.

This position requires expertise in traditional banking and capital markets products. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to develop and manage complex relationships with a broad range of corporate clients to deliver the full platform of Wells Fargos capabilities and C&R sector experience is preferred. This role will report to the head of C&R Corporate Banking.


In this role you will:

  • Manage direct client interaction including directing and coordinating execution of transactions with key product partners

  • Originate structure and execute the largest most complex transactions related to investment banking traditional corporate lending or other credit related products

  • Present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients through pro-active strategic and consistent business development and client retention efforts

  • Collaborate and consult with peers internal partners and stakeholders to deliver the full suite of WF products and services

  • Lead complex initiatives and assume ownership for implementing strategic and innovative business solutions to enhance client engagement

  • Identify opportunities and organize the right internal partners and team to form the relationship team

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of Corporate Banking Sales and Client Service experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Corporate Banking

  • Experience in C&R sector

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong negotiating skills

  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage deal teams

  • Experience in problem analysis solution implementation and change management

  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder partner or client needs while consulting building solutions and developing processes

  • Experience leading efforts with multiple stakeholder groups

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements skills experience or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargos total rewards package. Depending on the role a Wells Fargos employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation such as sales incentives discretionary bonuses and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$250000.00 - $420000.00
