INTERNAL ONLY - Teachers (1position)
Reports to: Ayelia Ali Assistant Manager of Educator Development and Pathways
Duration: 2025-2026 school year
About New Teacher Academy:
Mission: New Teacher Academy will equip its teachers with the tools knowledge and resources necessary to thrive during their first year of teaching.
Vision: The vision for the New Teacher Academy is to ensure that every novice teacher in Chelsea Public Schools receives quality professional development and support so that they become teachers who are confident in their practice build strong relationships with students and provide exceptional instruction for all students.
About Teacher Pathway Program:
Mission: The Teacher Pathway Program aims to recruit develop and retain a diverse group of educators who reflect the backgrounds and experiences of our students and their families.
Vision: The Teacher Pathway Program envisions the development and cultivation of diverse educators in CPS who will be effective in their professional practice. It aims to provide diverse educators with opportunities for growth and advancement in their careers therefore improving the retention of diverse teachers throughout the district
Qualifications:
- Experiencedteacher in Chelsea Public Schools
- Educator with proven track record of sucess with mentoring and/or with students as it relates to a leadership role
- Passionate aboutsupporting educators and setting them up for success
- Comfortable presenting and supporting adult learning
- Available to attend monthly meetings up to 1 time per month
- Experience being an alumnus of the New Teacher Academy and/or Teacher Pathway Program is a plus
NTA & TPP CommitteeResponsibilities:
- Assist in planning and preparing a scope and sequence for NTA and TPP sessions including the end of year celebration in May 2026
- Assist with planning and presenting during NTA and TPP monthly sessions.
- Assistin coordinating NTA orientation in August
- Attendance at all meetings for the full duration are required.
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Manager of Educator Development & Pathways all other district and school-based staff
- Other duties as assigned by theAssistant Manager of Educator Development & Pathway

Compensation: CTU contractual rate.
