Job Description

Glenorchy City Council is seeking a Multi-Skilled Labourer Tractor Mower Operator to join our dedicated Parks and Recreation this hands-on role you will help maintain the natural beauty safety and functionality of our parks reserves and open spaces for the enjoyment of the whole community.

What were looking for:

Were seeking a reliable and motivated individual with experience in grounds and maintenance work including mowing brush cutting weed control and litter collection. Youll be confident operating tractors mowers and related equipment and willing to assist with turf care landscaping and other projects. A strong focus on safety teamwork and attention to detail is essential along with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

To be successful in this role youll have practical experience in outdoor maintenance with the ability to safely operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment. A strong understanding of workplace health and safety the ability to follow procedures and a high level of physical fitness are essential. Youll also bring good communication skills a team-focused attitude and the flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and environments.

Position Hours: Full time 76 hours per fortnight

What Youll Bring:

Essential:

  • MR Class Drivers License
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Current First Aid Certification

Desirable:

  • Traffic Management Accreditation
  • Chemcert Accreditation
