We are looking for a Sr. Desktop Support Technician position at - Richmond VA. (On-Site)

Position: Sr. Desktop Support Technician
Duration: 10- Months Approx.
Location: Richmond VA - (On-site)


SHORT DESCRIPTION:
  • Seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician. The role is 100% onsite from day one. Initial interviews will be virtual or by phone followed by a mandatory in-person interview before any offer is extended. Parking is not provided for contractors.
COMPLETE ROLE DESCRIPTION:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Desktop Support Technician who will be responsible for providing technical support hardware and software troubleshooting and customer service within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop hardware software and networking.
  • Installing configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems (Windows 10 or higher) and Microsoft Office (including Outlook and Microsoft 365).
  • Supporting PC hardware printers peripherals and LAN/WAN networks.
  • Using remote support tools (e.g. SCCM Remote Desktop Dameware) to manage systems.
  • Maintaining system documentation and asset management records.
  • Collaborating with team members and end users to ensure system performance and usability.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and end-user training when necessary.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Skill Required/Desired Years of Experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems hardware and software including drivers and BIOS required - 4 Years
  • Excellent problem-solving analytical and team-working skills-Required - 4 Years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required -4 Years
  • Experience gathering customer feedback and improving training methods -required - 4 Years
  • Running reports and analyzing common complaints/problems required - 4 Years
  • Openness to learning new technologies required -4 Years
  • Experience using software tools (SCCM Remote Desktop Dameware etc.) Required -2 Years
  • SCCM/SMS software knowledge Required -2 Years
